HELLO, I'M ARIANNE COUCH.
WHAT I'VE DONE
I graduated as a National Merit Finalist from L. D. Bell High School in May of 2013. In high school, I recieved the International Baccalaureate Diploma after completing a rigourous, globally based curriculum and over 300 service hours. During my first year at Texas A&M, I continued to pursue my passion for service through the freshmen leadership organization, Memorial Student Center's Freshmen In Service and Hosting, as well as in my sorority Tri Delta. I maintained my commitment to academic rigor through my involvement in the Business Honors and University Honors programs, and joined the workforce this past summer as a camp counselor for gifted and talented middle schoolers.
WHAT I'M DOING
Howdy! My name is Arianne Couch and I am from Bedford, Texas. Currently, I am a student in the Business Honors and University Honors programs at Texas A&M University and am pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration as well as certificates in International Business and Nonprofits. I also serve as Director of Assessment and Finance in the Memorial Student Center and am an active member in my sorority, Delta Delta Delta. I enjoy meeting new people and gaining new perspectives, and relish any opportunity to challenge my own thoughts and biases. I strive to encourage and empower those around me, and I expect the best from myself and the people I interact with.
WHAT I WILL DO
I am still deciding on what I would like to do professionally. My current plan is to graduate from Texas A&M University with a degree in Business Honors. I am also working on an International Business certificate because I love to travel and am interested in working abroad. In addition, I am pursuing a Nonprofit certificate, because I am passionate about serving others. While at Texas A&M, I plan to take full advantage of the study abroad and leadership opportunities that are available. In my upperclassmen years, I hope to hold leadership positions within the Memorial Student Center and pursue an internship in public policy, an area I have been interested in since age 5. Within the business school, I have begun taking the things I learn in class and immediately applying them to the roles I serve in co-curriculars and my personal life. I have found that my business courses often leave me wanting to learn more and go deeper with the material, which makes me excited to keep learning and growing not only as a young professional, but as a person.
